The New Zealand Paperboard Packaging Assn. (NZPPA) has a membership of 33, most of the companies that produce corrugated cardboard and cardboard boxes and packaging in NZ. These companies range from large enterprises like Amcor Kiwi Packaging, Visy Board and Carter Holt Harvey to smaller ones such as Interpac, Pakworld and Boxkraft Ltd.
NZPPAs main focus over the last two years has been to work with members to enhance environmental sustainability management systems in their companies. This has been very successful with good results for the companies and our NZ environment.
NZPPA was also a key driver, along with PrintNZ in the establishment of the NZ Paper Forum, a wider industry group including companies like Norske Skog and Spicers Paper etc. The Forum will focus on the more strategic areas of concern to the paper industry.

ENDORSING STATEMENT:
The New Zealand Paperboard Packaging Association members have worked hard to meet the targets set out in the NZ Packaging Accord. Companies have embraced their responsibilities to environmental sustainability with significant success. The development of individual Action Plans under the paper sector Code of Practice has been a major step towards ensuring environmentally responsible business practices.
As a founding member of the Packaging Accord the Association values the voluntary Accord process and is proving its success though minimising the environmental impacts of the paperboard packaging sector.
