Cross Sector Groups

The Accord is made up of nine sectors.  The Packaging Council monitors and reports annually on the progress of INDUSTRY.  Similarly, Central Government monitors and reports on itself, through the Ministry for the Environment, RONZ (the Recycling Operators of New Zealand) and Local Government New Zealand.

The logos / links below represent various trade associations who are members of the Packaging Council and, Accord signatories.  These associations facilitate meetings, workshops and sector initiatives.

Within this framework are cross-sectoral working groups working on specific issues such as out and about event recycling to minimise the impact of packaging in the waste stream and within the community.

Sectors are encouraged to work through their trade associations when working on Accord objectives and targets.
